PORON®
PORON® is a microporous polyurethane foam
which is able to cushion effectively the 'stepshock' of walking
and running. More shock absorption in the insole means less
shock to feet and joints. And no other insole materials offers
more shock absorption than PORON® cellular urethanes.
In side-by-side drop weight tests, PORON®
materials outperformed vinyl sponge, neoprene sponge, sponge
rubber, latex foam and solid viscoelastic. This is why PORON®
materials offer the best cushion against impact.
PORON® 94 - Pink (Slow Memory)
PORON 94® sets a new level of advanced
underfoot comfort technology. This new material is a softer,
lighter PORON® with slower rebound properties. This allows
for a more even distribution of body weight over the foot's
plantar surface and offers fuller, richer cushioning.
PORON 94® can also be used for counter
paddings and forefoot linings in high performance footwear,
providing pillow-comfort protection against pressure from
the shoe upper.
PORON 94® is of particular importance in
specialist shoes for Diabetics, where it offers superb protection
against pressure points.

EVA
Extremely versatile high quality EVA (Ethylene
Vinyl Acetate) foam sheeting is used throughout the orthopaedic
and footwear trades for a variety of uses.
Low density EVA is commonly used for shock absorption, shoe
uppers in temporary shoes, and as soft stabilisers in AFO's.
Mouldable between 120°C and 170°C depending on density,
with an oven time of 2 minutes per mm.
Algeos medium density EVA is used throughout
the orthopaedic and footwear trades for a variety of uses
including heel lifts, shoe beddings, moulded Insoles and as
a semi-rigid stabilizer in orthotics. Mouldable between 120°
and 170°C depending on density with an oven time of 2
minutes per mm.
Algeos high density EVA is commonly used for
shoe lifts, heel lifting, block heels, wedge bottoms, rigid
insoles and a variety of commercial uses. Mouldable between
120°C and 170°C depending on density with an oven
time of 2 minutes per mm.
Astroshock
An expanded lightweight elastomer sheeting
with a density of Shore A25 providing a shock absorbency of
87%.
Cambrelle
Cambrelle® is incredibly hardwearing, yet
comfortable and cool to wear, and amazingly absorbent. Ideal
for orthotic coverings and insole manufacture.
Plastazote
Plastazote foams have widespread uses in orthotic
manufacturing. A thermoplastic polyethylene foam, Plastazote
is easily heat moulded (85-140°C) and will adhere to most
materials.
Its unique cross linked construction and non toxicity have
established Plastazote as standard for orthotic linings. It
is readily washable, discourages bacteria growth and has good
thermal properties.
